The Rebellious Leader

Next program begins March 4, 2025

THE CONVENTIONAL LEADERSHIP MODEL DOESN’T WORK FOR WOMEN

A THREE-MONTH VIRTUAL LEADERSHIP PROGRAM FOR WOMEN WORKING IN MALE-DOMINATED INDUSTRIES

A rebellious leader

In 12 weeks you’ll have unlocked leadership, your way.

You’ll have unsubscribed from a traditional leadership model that does not represent or serve you. You’ll know what it feels like to lead powerfully on your own terms. That one change will shift your entire relationship with your career.

WE MAY NOT HAVE MET YET.

BUT WE KNOW A LOT ABOUT YOU.

You are a smart, ambitious, busy, professional woman and you are great at what you do. By most outward measures, you are successful. But on the inside, you have some serious doubts.

  • Your organization is evolving all around you but you keep getting overlooked or even left behind.

  • You are overwhelmed with competing demands and wish you had more clarity about where to focus your time and attention.

  • You have no problem standing up for others but when it comes to self-advocacy you back down because you've been ignored/shot down so many times before.

  • You crave certainty - about your professional path and your ability to lead.

  • The overwhelm, doubt, and lack of clarity have you feeling defeated and like it’s your fault.

IF YOU ARE DOUBTING YOURSELF RIGHT NOW, DON’T

For ambitious professional women like you, it’s common to reach a point in your career where the old recipe for success stops working. The doubt and stagnation you feel is not an indication that you are deficient. It’s an indication that all the handy advice you’ve been given about navigating your career and being a leader fail to include you.

RIGHT IS RIGGED

Many of the so-called “best practices” you were taught to succeed ignore who you are, what makes you unique, and what you truly want. You feel like crap because you don’t want to ignore those things any longer. We are here to tell you that you are right. Those are the things that make you a great leader.

HERE’S WHAT WE’RE

DOING ABOUT IT

A Rebellious Leader takes the conventional best practices and transforms them into her own personal best practices. Because when you dare to bring more of who you are (not less) to the table, not only do you change the face of leadership, you become the type of leader you’ll actually look up to.

A light illuminated woman
  • “Before joining this program, I was worried and paralyzed by over-thinking. I often talked myself out of expressing my opinions for fear of how I'd be perceived (bossy, difficult). I've left that behind and now trust my own intuition.”

    - Katherine, Head of Strategic Partnerships

  • “The women I met through this program, including the facilitators, were all inspiring, authentic, beautiful humans. Together, we exchanged and created so much wisdom.”

    - Lori, Sr. Program Manager

  • “This program is structured in a way that is more empowering than previous programs I’ve attended. While many programs try to impose changes to who I am, this program gave me peace with myself and the ability to see and harness the power that is already within me.”

    - Gabriela, Principal Success Architecture

  • “I left the program knowing that I can accomplish any endeavor I decide to take on. With the support of the program, I've designed strategic alliances at work, learned to approach scenarios with different perspectives, got a big promotion, and am pursuing the graduate degree that I want. And I moved across the country by myself. I'm doing this without all the anxiety I was carrying about my decisions or the worry I was holding about being too much.”

    - Alanna, Employee Experience Operations Lead

  • “This program doesn't teach you how to survive and fit into a society that constantly forces women to comply. Instead, it guides you to your truest self outside of society's pressures. I am no longer holding myself back from showing up as the leader that I know I am.”

    - Amanda, Lead Technical Recruiter

  • “I landed a new role as a VP of Marketing for a software startup. The role was originally a lateral role making less money, but I knew I wanted more. I took what I learned from Rebellious Leader to negotiate and I got everything I asked for! Without the program, wouldn't have had the courage to ask for more, because I didn't think that was OK.”

    - Sarah, VP of Marketing n goes here

  • “I wanted new ways of thinking to move beyond the stagnation I was feeling. I left knowing that I can do anything I desire. I see myself as a leader and feel confident to act like one too. I advocated for a new role in a reporting chain where I admire the executive lead, increased my responsibility on my team, and have moved high-profile projects forward.“

    - Audrey, Content Strategist and Senior Writer

  • “I would take this program again and would recommend it to anyone considering enrolling. The facilitators created a comfortable space filled with honesty that made the possibility of thinking outside the box contagious. The combination of the breakout sessions and group conversations made what I learned feel both sticky and practical.”

    - Whitney, Sr. Executive Business Partner

  • “If you consider yourself quiet, this program will help you learn to take a stand with pride. I learned about social conditioning, how to define my own success, and how to embrace my emotional strength. When recently faced by a manager talking about women being too emotional, I was able to indicate that my emotion was a source of strength that represents my care and passion for my work and colleagues. I now know how to respond with actions that feel strong.”

    - Amna, Platform Lead

  • “I'm senior in my career and have done a lot of trainings and this program was different because it was transformational. I feel more confident in who I am as a leader and what I am able to bring to my organization. I wish every women leader could go through this program. “

    -Jill, Director of Transformation

“Finally, a leadership program where I felt my money was well spent. Empowering to do this work with a group of smart and heartfelt women.”

This program is for you if:

  • You work in a male-dominated industry.

  • You are burnt out, overwhelmed, unclear, or disconnected and want to feel re-engaged around your career.

  • You are tired of compromising your personal satisfaction for your professional success.

  • You want to discover an alternative to the old (white, male) leadership paradigm - one that actually propels your success and feels natural to you.

  • You want to design and embody a unique leadership style and be a compelling leader at work, in the world, in person and online.

  • You want the benefits of learning alongside a group of smart, ambitious women.

  • This program is not for you if:

You think you’ll miss more than 2 of the 12 live calls.

You are really into corporate leadership seminars with long lectures and little discussion.

You’re looking for a prescriptive formula to tell you what kind of leader you should be.

You have <10 years of work experience.

  • Industries and/or workplaces where women are either currently or historically outnumbered by men. Yes, this is most industries.

We find that even in organizations where gender representation is fairly equal in numbers, the traditional, male model for leadership still prevails. The result? You frequently feel like you’re a fish out of water — even when you are not the only woman in the room.

  • We use an inclusive definition and welcome trans women as well as genderqueer and non-binary people who identify as women or femme. We rely on our participants to sign up in good faith. If you decide the program and mission is a fit for how you identify, you are welcome to enroll. Please note that we do address social conditioning which will feel most relevant to individuals raised and perceived as women in formative years.

  • We hold that EVERYONE is a leader.

Leadership is a choice, not something that is bestowed upon you by an org chart. In other words, you do not have to be a people manager in order to gain the full value of this program. You will discover a new relationship with leadership entirely, applying what you learn to ALL aspects of your life (not just your career).

That said, the experience will be particularly poignant for women who've spent time navigating organization dynamics and have made choices, conscious or not, to be someone other than themselves to attain success for themselves and/or their teams.

  • Diversity, equity, and inclusion are core values of mine and we am continually learning how we can create the most equitable experience possible. On average, over 60% of participants are non-white. You can also expect diversity in age, geographic location, organizational levels, and experience.

The facilitation team is very diverse and you'll have an opportunity to see how each team of facilitators creates a diverse experience.

The Rebellious Leader content has been audited by a third party to help reveal hidden bias to us as a harm reduction measure.

  • Definitely. See our definition of “leader” above.

  • We keep our group size small enough so that you do get personalized attention, even in a group program. We find that when women do this type of leadership work together, each woman makes more progress fueled by the support of a community.

If you have a very specific circumstance you would like addressed or if you have done extensive coaching before enrolling in this program, please contact Alicia to discuss both options.

  • 90 minute calls once a week.

Up to 60 minutes on weekly OPTIONAL assignments.

Mental space for application and reflection related to core concepts.

  • Yes! Program participants span the globe and we have offerings in various time zones throughout the year. If you are interested in a future session that is more compatible with another time zone, please contact Alicia.
